The German Association of Perfumers (DGP) in SEPAWA® e.V. has launched a promotion program to support junior scientists and scientific studies on the sense of smell.
The DGP award of 2,000 Euros is offered for outstanding diplomas and master thesis or similar works.
These works must relate to the disciplines of perfumery and/or to applied sciences in the field of olfactory research, like sensory analysis and product research, olfactory physiology, psychology of perception, aroma chemical research, textile industry, etc.
The DGP, an association of perfumers and experts in the fragrance industry and related sectors, thus offers important incentives for scientific studies on the sense of smell and the benefits of fragrances.
The awarding requires an efficient course of studies and excellent performance and results. The thesis shall be written in English or German and may not be older than 18 months. Furthermore, the thesis should have been finished by the end of 2023 latest and must not have entered any comparable contests before.

The decision will be made by an expert commission under the guidance of the DGP executive board. The award will be presented by the president of the DGP Dr. Maren Protzen at the SEPAWA® CONGRESS 2024 in Berlin.
