Today’s cosmetics, detergents and cleaning products are subject to constant change, driven by new fashion trends and technical developments, as well as ever-changing regulatory requirements. These interesting everyday products are no longer based on simple traditional recipes and manufacturing instructions. Rather, their development and manufacture is now an interdisciplinary process that requires specialized scientific and technical knowledge. Chemistry, physics, process engineering, microbiology and toxicology form the necessary basic knowledge from which this interesting and extraordinarily diverse field can be developed. Subjects that deal with this product group pave the way for those interested in science and technology to enter a varied professional world whose primary goal is always the consumer-oriented, practical product.<\/p>\n

The theoretically oriented, less practical program at a scientific university<\/strong> teaches, in addition to pure scientific thinking, the basic theoretical requirements of the fields related to cosmetics and detergents. It is usually completed after 10 semesters with a Master of Science and a possible doctorate and prepares students for scientific and technical management tasks.<\/p>\n

The highly practical program at a university of applied sciences<\/strong> focuses on the product. The scientific and technical background is covered in terms of development, production and understanding the impact of products. It is usually completed after 6 semesters with a Bachelor of Science degree and can be extended with a Master’s program. A doctorate is possible in cooperation with a university.<\/p>\n
